MANILA, Philippines — Comedienne Pokwang has shared a real-life experience at an airport where an airline staff had cast doubt about her being the mother of daughter Malia.

In an episode of “Gandang Gabi Vice” on January 6, Pokwang recounted: “Walang ano ‘to ha, hindi ‘to chika, totoong nangyari talaga. Nung pauwi na kami galing San Francisco, boarding na, karga ko na siya [Malia].”

“Sabi nung ground staff doon, ‘Okay all of the passengers with a baby…’ Sabi sa akin, ‘Are you the mother?’ ‘Yes.’ ‘Are you sure you’re the mother?’ Sabi ba naman sa akin,” she added.

Malia, born in January 2018, is Pokwang’s daughter with American partner Lee O’Brian.

“Kasunod ko si Papang [O’Brian]. Sabi niya, I will carry [Malia]. Ano ‘yun?! Talagang naloka ako. ‘Are you sure you’re the mother?’” she further narrated.

Pokwang said she was also with her first born Mae Subong when it happened.

“Tawa kami nang tawa hanggang sa makasakay kami,” she recalled. /kga
