WATCH: Eric ‘Eruption’ Tai does deadlift to reveal he’s having a baby boy

Former “It’s Showtime” host Eric Tai, aka “Eruption,” and his wife, Rona, will be a family of three soon as they are expecting a baby boy.

The couple revealed their baby’s gender as Tai performed a deadlift with black bags filled with powder inside. This happened on Tuesday, Christmas Day.

Tai, who is a  body-building enthusiast, used all his might to lift the loaded barbell. Two people then placed the bags below, making Tai drop the heavy object on them that popped blue powder out.

“This is one reason why I’ve been training deadlifts so darn much!!!” he enthusiastically said. “Finally PAID OFF!!!”

He thanked his followers for guessing the baby’s gender right, and for giving them support on their in-vitro fertilization journey.

Tai and his non-showbiz wife got married in 2015. Both were contestants of AXN’s “The Amazing Race Asia” on its fifth season in 2016.  /ra
