WATCH: Rufa Mae Quinto takes on Miss U questions, struts her own ‘just love-ey walk’
Even Rufa Mae Quinto got bitten by the Miss Universe fever, all thanks to Catriona Gray.
The comedienne had her own take on answering tough pageant questions, as well as doing her own version of Gray’s “lava walk.” Quinto showcased her talents on her YouTube vlog released Tuesday.
She first shared that she was proud of the pageant because it made her proud to be a Filipino, especially when the country’s bet won.
Quinto too expressed admiration for the newly hailed beauty queen: “Ang galing niyang mag-emote, ganun (She’s really good at emoting)! But being her funny self, she concluded, “Pero mas magaling ako, charot (But I’m better than her)! ”
Moving on with the Q and A portion, Quinto was met with a question that Gray was also asked: “Canada recently joined Uruguay as the second nation in the world to make marijuana legal. What is your opinion on the legalization of marijuana?”

“The most important thing I’ve learned from my father is that my father taught me a lot of things,” Quinto said as she tried to maintain her cool. “And I’ve grown bigger remembering the… what my daddy said to share your blessings [because] sharing is caring. Thank you!”
Quinto and her crew had a laugh when the next set of questions came, such as about beauty pageants being “archaic and against the feminist movement.” She then had her team to define the term “archaic,” leading her to answer: “I do believe that old school is nice.”
Acing the Q and A portion of her vlog, Quinto showed the world—the universe rather—her version of Gray’s “lava walk,” called “just love-ey walk.” While inside ABS-CBN, she sashayed back and forth in front of the camera, proud to do her walk.
With what she showcased, Rufa Mae is now confidently beautiful to take on the universe. /ra
