Chito Miranda looks back on how Neri Naig changed him as they celebrate their 4th anniversary

Chito Miranda is known for always showing his love to his wife, Neri Naig. And on their fourth anniversary, he credited her for changing him for the better.
The “Parokya ni Edgar” frontman gushed about his journey with the former actress in an Instagram post Friday. He posted a humorous photo of him clinging on to Naig while they take a dip at the pool.
Miranda looked back at his life with Naig—from the time they met to settling down and having son Miggy. He said he was happy for having a simple life, all because of her.
He then said the reason why he chose the particular photo to post. “[B]ukod sa nakakatawa, it also shows kung ano ka sa buhay ko dahil talagang sinagip mo ko from myself and my downward spiral of self-destruction,” he said.
(Besides being funny, it shows how you mean to me because you saved me from myself and my downward spiral of self-destruction.)
Before Naig came into his life, Miranda thought he would still be a rocker who would eventually retire, spend his savings and live in a beach. “Simple lang din naman yung buhay ko dati (My life was simple before), but in a different way, because I only focused on myself,” he added.

“Dahil sayo, nag-iba lahat, (Because of you, everything changed),” Miranda said of Naig. “You gave me something else to focus on, and a reason for living that is more important than myself.”
He then decided to stop his vices. Miranda said that Naig did not force him, “but because I decided na gusto ko maging pinaka-healthiest na kaya ko para maalagaan ko kayo ni Miggy ng maayos at matagal…kasi yun ang pinaka nagpapa-saya sa akin.”
(But because I decided that I want to be the healthiest that I can be so I can take care of you and Miggy properly, because that really makes me happy.)
Miranda and Naig married twice in December 2014. They had a civil wedding in a Taguig City restaurant, before heading to a garden wedding a day later. The couple has a 2-year-old son, Miguel Alfonso, or Miggy. /ra
