The ageless Lucy Torres turned 44 on Dec. 11, a special day marked on social media by husband Richard Gomez and daughter Juliana.  Last year, Torres celebrated her 43rd birthday in an intimate gathering at home with her family, during which she was given two cakes and loving birthday messages. This time, however, the trio left the country to celebrate her birthday overseas, even bumping into Aga Muhlach and wife Charlene Gonzalez at the airport in Hong Kong, where they took a connecting flight.

Gomez took to his Instagram account on Dec. 11 and shared a picture of him with Torres and Juliana, along with a sweet letter he penned just for her.

“You truly are a gift from God. Many see you as a beautiful and fragile person but most don’t know your inner strength and conviction,” said Gomez of his better half.

“I love you for making me laugh, for making many of our friends laugh. You are one of the funniest persons I know. I love the way you tell me and make us feel how much you love me & Juliana.”

Gomez, in his letter, teased how Torres often gets easily lost, attributing it to her bad sense of direction.

“Maybe that is one of the reasons why the good Lord made you marry me so that you won’t get lost anymore. And so you won’t ride the wrong car bec all cars look the same to you.”

He also mentioned how she and Juliana would laugh at him for always forgetting people’s names, who they are and what they do.

“I love my life with you and I pray that we can spend more hundreds of years together in our lifetime (hurot na ang friends natin if that happens!).”

Juliana, too, took to her Instagram account to greet her mom a happy birthday, but unlike her dad’s message, she kept her words  to a minimum.

“Happy birthday mama, i will never be able to put into words how much i love you,” she said.

The congresswoman, who represents the fourth district of Leyte, on her end, extended her gratitude to everybody who greeted her on her 44th birthday. In her Instagram post on Dec. 11, she shared to her friends and fans how she grew up having simple dreams, such as being a wife and a mother.

“And yet here I am, living a life that is so much bigger than what I ever dreamed of for myself,” she said. “The days are always busy, responsibilities and expectations are great, life is purposefuI, it is not perfect but it is beautiful in every way that matters. I take nothing and no one for granted.”

The greetings did not fail to make Torres feel a melting pot of emotions and shared just how full her heart is.

“Thank you for all the birthday greetings. You’ve sent so many messages and videos my way, of wishes that had me smiling, laughing, feeling all sentimental and getting more than just a bit teary-eyed. I feel the love. I am grateful. My heart is full.”

Happy birthday, Lucy!  /ra
