Vice Ganda recently went on a mini-rant during the “Tawag ng Tanghalan” segment of “It’s Showtime” last Dec. 5 in which he shared to the audience and co-host Anne Curtis  that he has been blocked on dating app Tinder.

His comical tirade came after one contestant shared to him and Curtis that she met her current partner through a dating site. It was during this time when Vice Ganda divulged that he is blocked on Tinder.

“Bad trip kasi naka-block ako sa Tinder eh,” he said. “Yung mga Pinoy  akala siguro nila poser ako, ni-report ng ni-report. Ayan tuloy naka-block ako. Di talaga ako maka-swipe right, bad trip.”

Curtis, on her end, suggested he just change his name on the app, but Vice Ganda said he did just that but that it was futile.

“Kahit anong palit ko hindi ko talaga siya mabuksan kailangan ng bagong email,” he said, adding he should just make another email address. “Gawa nga ako. Wag niyo ko i-block.”

Vice Ganda also asked the contestant if dating app OKCupid, where she met her current partner, had lots of Filipino users.

“Gusto ko foreigner eh,” quipped Vice Ganda. “Di naman ako magugustuhan ng mga Pinoy noh.”

Curtis, however, teased Vice Ganda and told him she knew some Filipinos who liked him, but did not drop any names.

“Sa bagay di ko naman kailangan ng Tinder,” he said. “Kailangan ko love and care.”

It was in November that Vice Ganda shared that he was no longer hiding his close friendship with basketball player Calvin Abueva. He told reporters that he and Abueva were not exclusively dating, but were friends; he also praised the basketball player, who is “very secure” with himself, for being the only guy who is proud to be friends with him.

“I was always scared that people would see us. We were always hiding. If Calvin is OK with me being around, I shouldn’t be bothered, too.”

Vice Ganda added that he and Abueva were happy with what they had, including his good relationship with the latter’s family who has been kind to him.  Cody Cepeda /ra
