Lian Paz reveals Paolo Contis doesn’t give child support

Former EB (Eat Bulaga) Babes member Lian Paz divulged that her ex-husband Paolo Contis does not give financial support to their daughters, Xonia and Xalene.
Paz expressed her happiness over her daughters’ consistency in being honor students, via Instagram on Nov. 19. She shared that the school where her children are studying was the same school where she and non-showbiz partner John Cabahug studied.

She then revealed that she had been the sole provider for her daughters ever since she and Contis parted ways in 2012. She also thanked Cabahug for helping her financially and loving her children.
“Most parents I meet in school and most people know that my children are financially supported but from the start I became a single mother, I stand for my kids alone and then, I was blessed with a partner who shouldered everything for us after,” she wrote.
“I thank God for John, I thank John for loving my children,” she added. “It is the clear proof of his love for me. Xonia, Xalene and I have been through hell before we felt heaven and I am glad that we are here now.”
One netizen, eden (@klengklengusi), took to the comments section of Paz’s post yesterday, Nov. 28, to express her desire for Paz and Contis’ reconciliation. The commenter also wondered about the timing of Paz’s post.

Paz clarified that her post was not timed to coincide with anything, as it just so happened that the awarding ceremony for her daughters was held. She also asserted that her post was meant to showcase her appreciation for Cabahug who has been by her side all the while, supporting her in life.

“For the longest time, people know and think kasi na suportado mga anak ko but the fact is no,” she reiterated. “Ako lang nagsikap for them until dumating si John.”
(For the longest time, people know and think that my children receive support [from their father]. But the fact is they do not. I was the only one striving to provide for them, until John came.)
Contis has yet to comment or issue a statement, as of this writing.
Paz and Contis’ annulment is still ongoing. Paz has a daughter with Cabahug, while Contis’ girlfriend LJ Reyes is currently pregnant with their first child. JB
