Known for her sometimes flamboyant and often avant-garde fashion sense, Lady Gaga surprised some of her fans, and some gamers, after the pop star and actress revealed she spends her days off playing the video game “Bayonetta.”

The “A Star Is Born” star first chronicled her “Bayonetta” gaming journey through a Nov. 4 tweet. At the time, Lady Gaga just beat the fourth chapter of the game and was complaining at how hard the fifth one was. She added “secret #gamergirl” at the end of the tweet.

Her next update took a big skip from the last one, which went online on Nov. 22. Here she mentioned being in the middle of chapter 10, and once again stuck just like back in chapter five.

Two days later, a Nov. 24 tweet updated her progress as she was able to reach chapter 13 after pulling an all-nighter while battling a “damn dragon.”

If Lady Gaga was playing the first “Bayonetta” game, then she’ll be reaching the end after a few more chapters. Then again she may opt to play through the special chapters, secret levels and secret boss to complete the experience.

“Bayonetta” is an action-adventure hack-and-slash game developed by PlatinumGames, the same company that created “Neir Automata.” The game features stylish combat and an even more stylish female lead, a witch named Bayonetta who uses guns and her hair as weapons.

Funnily enough, fans of “Bayonetta” and Lady Gaga may notice similarities in the two. Both are equally flamboyant in their performances while also exuding that strong take-no-nonsense aura.

In any case, finding out that the one and only Lady Gaga is also an avid video gamer may endear her more to her fans and convert others to her side.  /ra
