Kelley Day: I don’t want to be known for having dated Iñigo Pascual

Young actress Kelley Day said she and Iñigo Pascual, whom she used to date two years ago, are still “totally cool” with each other.

“That time he released the song ‘Dahil Sa’yo,’ which became super viral. He became very busy and, as a result, we didn’t have much time for each other anymore,” she told reporters at a recent press conference for the Filipino anime series “Barangay 143,” which airs on GMA 7 starting Oct. 21.

“But that’s fine,” the former member of the girl group GirlTrends added. “I’m proud of him. I didn’t want to be a hindrance to his career.”

While she doesn’t mind being asked questions about Iñigo, 21-year-old Kelley hopes that her link with Iñigo doesn’t become the defining aspect of her show biz career.

“I don’t want to be known for just that. This project is more important to me than my previous relationships,” she said. “Over time, I want to be known for my successes, as opposed to who I dated.” —ALLAN POLICARPIO
