Ogie Diaz would rather help Bong Go’s candidacy than aid ‘hardheaded’ Mocha Uson

Ogie Diaz makes use of “Mama Ogs Answers” to answer a myriad of questions he knows his fans would want him to answer. In the latest installment of his virtual Q&A, the comedian zoomed in on former Presidential Communications Operations Office Assistant Secretary (PCOO-Asec) Mocha Uson and Special Assistant to the President (SAP) Bong Go’s possible candidacies. Diaz also tackled the sincerity of ACTS-OFW Representative Aniceto “John” Bertiz’s public apology.

The first question in the recent “Mama Ogs Answers” today, Oct. 4 asked Diaz if he will vote for Uson in the upcoming 2019 Senatorial elections.

“Oy, baka fake news yan, ha?” he replied. “Pero honestly? Hindi po. Ang iboboto ko po ay yung hindi ginagawang katatawanan ang mga may kapansanan, yung pinagkakaisa at hindi pinag-aaway-away ang mga Pilipino.”

(Hey, isn’t that’s fake news? But honestly? No. I will vote for someone who doesn’t make fun of persons with disabilities, who unites and doesn’t stir fighting among Filipinos.)

Uson drew flak for making fun of sign language last September. Diaz expounded on his point about someone who will not incite fighting among Filipinos: “You check her fan page kung pinagkakaisa niya yung mga Pilipino bilang yun naman ang trabaho niya as PCOO Asec since galing sa buwis naman ng taumbayan ang sinusuweldo niya.”

(You check her fan page, if she does indeed unite Filipinos, as it is her job as PCOO Asec, since her salary comes from taxes paid by Filipinos.)

“Paano po pag humingi ng tulong sa ‘yo si Mocha para sa candidacy niya?” the third question read. (What will you do if Mocha will ask for your help on her candidacy?)

“[Laughs] Juice ko, hindi hihingi ng tulong ‘yon,” Diaz replied. “Matigas ulo no’n. Malaki na siya. Kaya na niyang makipagsibakan. Este, makipagbakbakan, sabi niya, di ba? Mas tutulungan ko pa si SAP Bong Go.”

(She’s hard-headed. She’s already grown up. She can now go fight with others, as she said, right? I would rather help SAP Bong Go.)

Diaz then explained why he is more inclined to help Go should the SAP run in the 2019 elections: “Mas mukhang makikinig sa akin ‘yon. Pagsasabihan ko tungkol sa impression ng mga tao na epal siya, at magsa-suggest ako ng mga tamang strategy para hindi siya maliko ng landas. At hindi ako magpapabayad, promise.”

(I think he will listen to me. I will tell him about the impression he’s giving people — that he’s an attention grabber — and I will suggest the right strategy so he won’t go astray. And I won’t ask for any fee, promise.)

Another question asked was whether Diaz believes the sincerity of Bertiz’s public apology. “Saka na ako maniniwala pag in the next two months, hindi na muna niya paiiralin ang kayabangang taglay niya,” he answered.

(I will believe him later if, in the next two months, he won’t let the arrogance he has prevail.)

“Mas naniniwala akong sinungaling ang CCTV footage, kasi wala naman du’n ‘yung mga Chinese looking,” replied Diaz when asked if he believes Bertiz when the solon said that there were Chinese nationals who were not asked by the airport staff to remove their shoes. “Baka akala niya siguro, nasa West Philippine Sea siya o talagang nireregla lang siya that time, dahil butas ang medyas niya.”

(I am more inclined to believe that the CCTV footage was lying because there were no Chinese-looking [people caught in the footage]. Perhaps he taught he was in the West Philippine Sea, or he really was menstruating during that time, because his socks have holes.) JB
