For Camille Prats and husband VJ Yambao, their only daughter Nala Camilla is a princess in every way. So to mark Nala’s first birthday, they threw a party fit for royalty.
Prats dressed up her daughter Nala as Sarah Crewe of the 1995 film “Sarah… Ang Munting Prinsesa,” for Nala’s pre-birthday photos. Continuing with the theme, she and Yambao prepared a belated birthday party fit for a princess last Sunday, Sept. 23 at The Blue Leaf Cosmopolitan in Quezon City.
Nala looked every bit the princess that she is in her two birthday outfits. The first was a pink layered baby gown with gold accents, close to the shade of her mother’s glossy dress. To complete her look, she sported a pink hair ribbon and bright pink shoes.

Nala’s second outfit was simpler than her first yet still as elegant — a light pink and silver gown.

Prats opted for a geometric modern princess theme, playing with mainly pastel colors for the party’s color scheme. The vivid violet and gold ceiling decors were a sharp contrast to the playful pastel, providing an air of regality.

Of course, a princess-themed party would not be complete without sumptuous sweets for children to feast upon, as seen in a pastry bar.

Nala officially turned one on Saturday, Sept. 22. The family marked the day with a strawberry-themed cake and mini cakes.
