Claudine Barretto caught up with Vilma Santos, and thought it would be fun to re-create one photo of them together.

The Star for All Seasons and Barretto were game to re-enact their pose for the poster of their 2000 film “Anak.” This was seen in an Instagram post by a certain Carla Cervantes-Valeroso on Thursday.

In the photo, Valeroso stitched Santos’ and Barretto’s original “Anak” poster back in 2000 with the updated version dated in 2018. Another snap showed Barretto kissing the actress-politician.

“Happy to see my “Anak” – Vilma Santos Recto,” Valeroso captioned the photo, which Santos might have said.

Netizens were happy to see the two reunited, one of them being actress Jessy Mendiola, who expressed how happy she was for them with three heart emoji. Mendiola is the girlfriend of Luis Manzano, who is Santos’ son.

“Anak” tells the story of a mother (Santos) who decided to work overseas, thinking that it would benefit the lives of her family. Barretto played the rebellious child who challenged her mother’s authority.  The film was well lauded by critics, and was the Philippine bet in the 73rd Academy Awards.  /ra
