Despite having four of its five members enlisted in the military, Big Bang has now reached over 10 million subscribers on YouTube, as of early Monday, K-Pop Herald reports.

This qualifies the quintet to receive the Diamond Creator Award and will be given a Diamond Play Button by the video platform.

The quintet joins the likes of other K-pop acts such as label mate BlackPink and the seven-member boy group BTS.

Apart from the Diamond Play Button, users who have over 100,000 subscribers will be given the Silver Play Button, and a Gold Play Button will be awarded for those who reach over one million subscribers.

Big Bang’s official YouTube account boasts 13 videos that have over 100 million views; their single “Fantastic Baby”, a hit in the local scene, holds over 360 million views.

In the week prior to winning the award, YouTube Premium released an original documentary focusing on the life behind-the-scene of K-pop superstar G-Dragon, entitled “Kwon Ji Yong Act III: Mott”. JB
