JC de Vera announced that he and his non-showbiz wife, Rikkah Cruz, are going to be a family of five as the latter is pregnant with their third child.
The actor made the announcement through his Instagram page on Saturday, Dec. 21, showing themselves with their daughters Lana and Laura, and with Cruz’s baby bump being visible.
De Vera’s post also includes a selfie of himself where he holds the sonogram of their child, which has the words “baby boy” written on it.
“Excited for what the new year holds. Good things are definitely coming!” he said in the caption. “Wishing everyone a joyful Christmas filled with love and happiness!”
Fans and fellow celebrities flocked to the comments section to congratulate the couple, expressing their happiness that De Vera and Cruz will finally have a baby boy.

De Vera and Cruz tied the knot twice; the first one was during a civil ceremony in 2018 and the other one was during a church wedding in September 2021. The couple welcomed their firstborn Lana in 2018, and Laura in June 2023.
Speaking about fatherhood in a September 2023 interview, De Vera said, “There are a lot of dad stereotypes that need to change. I want to show a different side of being a father; that’s why I often post about my family.”
“What I want is to show the soft side of being a dad. I obey the women in my house. I don’t make them follow me,” he added.
