The Eigenmann siblings marked the 4th death anniversary of their father, actor Mark Gil, last Sept. 1 in an intimate get together. Gil passed away on September 1, 2014, from liver cancer — a disease that the actor and his family did not make public.

He is survived by his wife Maricar Jacinto-Eigenmann and his six children: Gabby, Ira, Timothy (Sid Lucero), Maxene, Andi and Stephanie. The siblings recently came together to commemorate their father’s passing, as was shared on Instagram by Gabby on Sept. 2.

Maxene also paid homage to her father on Sept. 1 when she shared throwback photos of her with her father on Instagram.

In one post, she shared a black-and-white photo of her sleeping next to Gil. She wrote, “It’s your 4th year in Heaven, Daddy and the fondest memories flowing through my mind right now is how much my boys ADORE you.”

In another post on Sept. 2, Maxene shared a family picture of the Eigenmanns together, celebrating Gil’s death day.

“TODAY. Your day. And just like that the family is together,” wrote Maxene.

“FOR YOU. Gosh, Daddy. You’ve always had a way of bringing us together.. mainly cos of your food..” Maxene continued to write. “Ang SARAP SARAP mo mag luto! (You cook really really well!) Haha! I MISS YOU!!!!!!!!!!”

Gil became famous when he starred in “Batch ’81”, a 1982 film directed by Mike de Leon and written by Clodualdo del Mundo. In the film, Gil played the role of “Sid Lucero”, a neophyte who was subjected to months of violent initiation rites by a fraternity.

The name “Sid Lucero” has been taken on by Gil’s son, Timothy, as his stage name since he began his acting career in the early 2000s. NVG
