Gee Canlas revealed how she ended up yelling at Archie Alemania after he conspired with the staff of “Inday Will Always Love You” to set up a proposal event.
A video uploaded on Canlas’ Instagram account on Aug. 28 showed how Alemania pulled off his proposal. The comedienne believed she was rehearsing a scene before Alemania suddenly appeared on one knee while holding an engagement ring.
The staff of “Inday Will Always Love You” helped to make the scheme believable by setting up all the taping equipment. They even gave Canlas instructions on where the “moment” will happen. By “moment,” they meant where Alemania would appear to pop the big question.
Canlas’ reaction upon seeing Alemania down on his knee was to yell at him while possibly filled with surprise and possibly delight.
“When Im old I’ll get to tell my grandchildren how instead of crying I yelled at their grandpa and hooked my bag on the door before strangling him with a giant bear hug,” wrote Canlas.
Alemania previously announced their engagement through an Aug. 27 post on Instagram. He and Canlas broke up five years ago after a two-year relationship. They got back together in 2017. /ra
