Just when people think most celebrities go all out when they travel, Kapamilya actor Enchong Dee, on the contrary, isn’t one who goes all out. But rather than being called a “kuripot” (frugal) he considers himself a “budgetarian.”

“You spend on the things that are the most important things,” he said in his Thursday appearance on “Tonight With Boy Abunda.”

During travels, it is indeed hard to decide which things are essential to spend on and which ones are not.

“Dapat klaro sa’yo ano ba ‘yung pinunta ko dito sa isang lugar na ‘to. Ano ba ‘yung dahilan ko bakit ako pumunta dito sa lugar na ‘to.”

“Ako kadalasan when I go to a certain place, I go for that place for the destination. So ‘pag nakuha ko ‘yung Instagram photo na kailangan ko, okay,” he said.

He however respects that everyone has their own way of enjoying their trips. Some go on cash-tight trips while others go extravagantly.

In closing, he gave one very practical tip when planning your next trip.

“Travelling starts from your pay day. So kunwari, you want to travel ng Christmas season, June, July, start saving, P1500 every payday. Then by December, you have that amount to travel,” he said.

All of these and more travel tips are in his newly-launched book “Basta Trip Mo.” The book has a cover with his face on it while the other only has a text cover.
