LOOK: James Yap, Michela Cazzola’s ‘little prince’ MJ turns 2

James Yap and Michela Cazzola are proud parents once again as they celebrated another milestone in their family’s life — their son Michael James, or MJ, turning 2 years old.

The Rain or Shine cager first posted on Instagram a collage of him and MJ together, in celebration of his son’s birthday Wednesday, Aug. 8. He has this wish for the boy: “I pray that you grow up to be a loving son and brother.”

Yap and Cazzola welcomed their second child together, Francesca, last June 27. MJ also has a half-sibling in Bimby, Yap’s son with Kris Aquino.

Yap added, “Papa and Mama love you so much and we will always be here to guide you. I am grateful for having you in my life.”

He then shared another photo of him, Cazzola and MJ, this time with a colorful cake themed after Antoine de Saint-Exupéry’s “The Little Prince.” Unlike last year’s big birthday bash, this year they decided to celebrate it at home as a family.

Like Yap, Cazzola too shared happy snaps of her and MJ. She greeted in her native Italian tongue: “Buon compleanno, mio Piccolo Principe (Happy birthday, my little prince)!”

Birthday messages for the boy flooded on Yap’s post, including one from actress-socialite Gretchen Barretto. Broadcast journalist Julius Babao greeted his inaanak (godson) as well.

Babao’s wife, Christine, could not believe that time has flown so fast that it was MJ’s birthday again. She even joked upon seeing his sweet treat: “Penge ng cake!” (I want cake!)
