What’s Mariel de Leon’s ‘biggest regret’ when she competed in Miss International?
It appears that Mariel de Leon had one regret while she joined the Miss International pageant, which made her look back and remind herself not to do it again.
The beauty queen took to Twitter Monday, July 30, to share one moment she regretted during her stint. First, she retweeted one post from an account named Motivation for Life (@MotivatedLiving). It read: “Stop worrying about pleasing others so much, do more of what makes you happy.
In her next tweet, she made the revelation on what was her “biggest regret” while joining the pageant: “Pleasing other people and their wishes or ‘suggestions’ instead of my own. I felt pressured to not follow my own heart and what I wanted to do.”
De Leon then shared some words of wisdom to her fans, wanting to make sure that they do not commit the same mistake: “Do what you know would make you happy. Do what you feel is right for yourself. Live for you!”
Her latest tweets show her return to the social media site. The Philippine Entertainment Portal reported back in March that she deactivated her account for unknown reasons.
Previously, de Leon received criticism for saying that Binibining Pilipinas-Universe Catriona Gray had a “scripted” manner of answering in an interview. The two has since explained both their sides and made up.
The beauty queen is currently shooting for a project, details of which are yet to be announced. In photo she uploaded on Instagram yesterday, July 30, De Leon is seen posing with two creepy-looking dolls, possibly hinting that she may be shooting a horror project. JB
