It’s no secret that action star Robin Padilla is a staunch supporter of President Rodrigo Duterte. It comes as no surprise, then, that last July 9, Padilla shared on his Instagram account some pictures from the Diehard Duterte Supporters (DDS) Global Leaders gathering held recently at the Philippine Broadcasting Service in Quezon City.

Padilla was one of the speakers of the said gathering and, according to him, was assigned by Special Assistant to the President Bong Go himself. The gathering included overseas Filipino workers who Padilla praised.

Padilla shared that he has many relatives who are OFWs themselves.

In the pictures Padilla shared of the event, he can be seen surrounded by admirers and fans who flocked toward him for a picture. He also had a picture with former Philippine National Police chief Ronald “Bato” Dela Rosa and Presidential Communications Operations Office undersecretary Lorraine Badoy, plus a selfie with Atty. Bruce Rivera.

In his post, Padilla added that he was assigned to deliver a message about one’s love for the country, and what they can do as volunteers of President Duterte.

Padilla, too, spoke of the “revolution” in Davao, although he did not specify the kind of revolution he was speaking about. It’s known, however, that Padilla  addresses himself and the rest of the President’s supporters as the Katipunan, alluding to the 1986 Philippine revolution that Andres Bonifacio and the Katipuneros led.

Tapang! At malasakit! Mabuhay ang Rebolusyon!  /ra
