The Queen of All Media Kris Aquino once again hit back at Presidential Communications Assistant Secretary Mocha Uson for her recently posted “unapologetic” video.

Uson stood her ground on the video she posted that likened President Rodrigo Duterte’s controversial kiss with an OFW in South Korea to an episode during the last moments of Sen. Ninoy Aquino in a plane, before he was slain. The late senator was seen being kissed by two women inside the plane, appearing rather stiff and embarrassed as he received the kisses, moments before he was killed.

Uson told Aquino, “Ms. Aquino, this is not about you.”

Aquino’s response to Uson’s statement questioned the assistant secretary’s “point.”

“Do you have a point? It’s not about me, it’s about my father,” Aquino said in another Facebook Live video posted late this afternoon, June 6.

“But you have to accept this fact: laman at dugo niya ako,” Aquino asserted. “At karapatan ko na magsalita para sa kanya.”

(But you have to accept this: I am his flesh and blood. And it’s my right to speak for him.)

She also addressed Uson’s statement that “Itinumbas ito sa isang lider.

Aquino asked, “Sinong humalik?” (Who kissed?), referring to how the late Senator was seen in the video being the one kissed by the women, and him not kissing back.

In a tone of surrender, Aquino said she will be “the better person,” following her late mother President Cory Aquino’s advice.

Nakakapagod na kailangan everytime, lahat ng pambabastos ng followers, tatanggapin mo at lulunukin mo,” Aquino expressed, regarding the negative comments she receives from staunch supporters of the administration.

(It’s tiring that every time you have to accept and swallow all the bashings of followers.)

May masama bang ginawa si Ninoy at Cory Aquino kay Pangulong Duterte?” Aquino asked. “Paulit-ulit kong sinasabi, magalit kayo kay Noy (Aquino’s brother, former Pres. Noynoy Aquino), magalit kayo sa Liberal Party. Pero hindi kami ‘yun eh. Hindi kami ‘yung partido na nanggagalaiti kayo.”

(Did Ninoy and Cory Aquino do anything bad to President Duterte? I say it over and over again, you can get mad at Noy, you can get mad at the Liberal Party. But that’s not us. We’re not the party you’re so angry at.)

Aquino said that she has done her part on reaching out to Uson. She also reached out to Special Assistant to the President Christopher “Bong” Go, who held a press conference earlier today: “Sana totoo ‘yung sinabi mong ‘Intindihin natin si Kris.’” (I hope that what you said “Let’s understand Kris” is true.)

Later in the video, Aquino further took her guard down and declared: “Mocha, you win… You win because you hurt me, and I think that’s what you wanted to do.”

As for the calls of some people urging her to run for office, Aquino said, “Maybe my voice matters.” But she reiterated that it’s better for her not to be a politician, for people to continue listening to her.

She said that as she remains outside of politics, “Pantay-pantay tayong lahat.” (We’re all on the same level.)

As her final words, Aquino said: “Mocha, you’re right. This was not about Kris Aquino. This was a reminder that Filipinos still love and respect Cory and Ninoy Aquino.” JB
