(This picture was taken two weeks ago because there’s three generations of our family together [here]. I didn’t realize this would be our last picture together but we will miss you forever. And it’s my birthday.)

She also wrote, “Lagi ko tatandaan yung sinabi mo na wag ka matakot, maging matapang ka para sa anak mo. Ang sakit mawalan ng ina.

(I’ll always remember what you told me, to be strong for your child. It hurts to lose a mother.)

Celebrity friends Boy II Quizon, Patricia Javier and Mariel Rodriguez-Padilla offered their condolences.

Quinto also shared today, May 27, an Instagram post made by her sister Gie Jan Sy. Her sister looked back in appreciation at how mommy Carol stood as both mother and father to Quinto and her six siblings. She also lamented on no longer having mommy Carol around to talk to when happy or sad, and to hug when going to sleep. Quinto couldn’t help but agree with her sister and wrote, “Nakakaiyak pero totoo (It makes me cry but it’s true.)

Lastly, Quinto felt grateful that mommy Carol still witnessed important milestones before she passed away.

(At least just close your eyes and go to sleep. You met your granddaughter. You attended the first birthday of @alexandriamagallanes and you saw me get married and settle down. You could rest now, too.) JB
