LOOK: Rufa Mae Quinto recalls funny pool moment with daughter Athena
Funny woman Rufa Mae Quinto gave her fans a good laugh after sharing an amusing snapshot of herself with daughter Athena playing in the pool.
The comedienne shared the snapshot on Instagram on May 7 with the caption, “Ito yung picture namin nung una palang nag swim si baby girl @alexandriamagallanes (This is a picture of us when baby girl first learned to swim).”
The image showed Quinto in a pool clutching her daughter ’s arm on one hand while the other grabbed on to a lock of the girl’s hair as she tried to keep the child afloat. Quinto also added the text “ma aray ko ma (mom it hurts, mom) with a teary-eyed laughing emoji. Little Athena appeared confused and about to cry when the image was captured at just the right moment.
Quinto’s post has reached nearly 35,000 likes as of this writing. The image also made it to Facebook through netizen Hope Cruz Leal from Quezon City who clearly stated the comedienne’s snapshot was purely coincidental. Leal also noted that if the mother herself was able to make fun of the situation, then it should be taken lightly. The Facebook post has gotten over 27,000 reactions and nearly 9,000 shares as of this writing.
In both posts netizens could be seen enjoying the funny image for what it is while noting it was just the kind of humorous antics that can be expected from the veteran comedienne.
