Much of the showbiz world were in deep concern when Gary Valenciano underwent open heart surgery, as per his wife, veteran talent manager Angeli Pangilinan’s Twitter post, last May 7. Today, Gary is on the road to recovery and in Angeli’s Instagram update last May 12, it was stated that Gary was finally released from the hospital and made it home just in time for Mother’s Day.

Angeli said that Gary has always had unbelievable challenges since he was a baby. She wrote, “He was born and went straight to an incubator as he almost died, having been 10 months in his mom’s womb. When everything was coming up roses, he had to go to the CCU again for yet another challenge yesterday but overnight he conquered it and it so happened that @gabvalenciano was the ‘bantay‘ (guard) last night overnight at the coronary ICU.”

She also shared that Gary himself went up to the 16th floor of the hospital to thank the nurses and doctors himself. “Walking in the hospital corridors on his way to the 16th floor to thank the nurses and doctors who took care of him… I could only praise God for his sweet surprises. Time to go home and renew his energy. And His timing is so wonderful – he is coming home on Mother’s Day! God is good.”

In another Instagram post made just yesterday, May 13, Angeli shared pictures of their family finally arriving home from the hospital. However, no visitors are allowed, at least for now. “Thank you. No visitors allowed …so many of you just came to hug me. Especially my family. Thank you. Gary is home. Praise God,” said Angeli.

Meanwhile, Gabriel, Gary’s second child, couldn’t help but express his happiness and love for his family, as he shared a short boomerang video loop yesterday of them doing wacky poses at home.

“Another typical Valenciano night,” wrote Gabriel yesterday, May 13. “Hay I love my family.”
