Twenty-two sweet years of being husband and wife seem to be doing Megastar Sharon Cuneta and Sen. Kiko Pangilinan good, proving that love perhaps really does age like wine. The two recently celebrated their 22nd anniversary of being a wedded couple, flying to Japan last month where they reveled in its sights and eats.
The two have been back since then, but the sweetness and playful banter between them remain. Three days ago on May 7, Senator Pangilinan took to his Instagram to post a throwback picture of him, finding the recent win of the De La Salle University women’s volleyball team an apt time to share his volleyball days in high school.
“Dahil nag champion ang DLSU women’s volleyball team last week, heto naman ang lumang litrato nung high school pa ako. LSGH NCAA Jrs Volleyball Champion team 1979 1980,” wrote Pangilinan. “3rd year high school ako dito. Back row standing 2nd from the left. Animo La Salle!”
The picture showed a skinny Pangilinan, a far cry from the posturing of the man he is today. And it seems Cuneta, too, thought the same, as she commented, “Buti talaga di kita nakilala noon. Kundi imposibleng ako ang asawa mo ngayon! Hahaha!”
It was a comment made in jest, and was followed with another, “Anong oras uwi mo señor?”
Pangilinan found his wife’s remarks funny, and responded with “Pauwi na!” to her question.
Meanwhile, many of their followers found their exchange hilarious, with some saying they’re like teenagers. Others, on the other hand, wrote that Pangilinan looked better now than before. There were people too who wrote that he looked like his daughter, Frankie, during his high school days.
“Ang cute nyo po kamukha nyo po si @frankiepangilinan at mas gwapo po kayo ngayon bagay sa inyo ang mataba,” wrote one Olive Mendoza.
“Si Frankie ang kamukha,” wrote a certain Lourdes.
And it seems Frankie herslf, too, couldn’t help but comment, “Hahaha cute dad.” /ra
