Filipino-American social media personality Bretman Rock made the “Moana 2” premiere a family affair as he stepped onto the gathering with his niece and nephews, embodying that Hawaiian aesthetic.
The beauty influencer took to Instagram to share photos and videos from the premiere. He sported an asymmetrical dress with a mix of earthy tones and floral prints as he posed with his niece Cleo and nephew Ezekiel and another baby nephew whose name they have yet to share in the reveal, who were also donning Hawaiian-inspired outfits.
“I was kind enough to host the Moana premier in my backyard [emojis] jk [just kidding]. Thank you for having me and Da lil Babies. We had such a blast,” he captioned his post.
His post included clips of a Hawaiian performance and the speeches of lead stars Auliʻi Cravalho (Moana) and Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson (Maui).
Rock previously humored his followers after he posted a supposed audition video for the role of scatterbrained chicken Hei Hei for “Moana 2.”
In the video, the Hawaii-based content creator put a coconut shell on his head and began screaming like a chicken, referencing a scene in the first film when the chicken discovered that he had joined Moana in her ocean adventure.
Meanwhile, Rock was also previously recognized by the Hawaii House of Representatives for his work in bringing entertainment and positive influence to his audience.
The Filipino American vlogger rose to fame after one of his makeup videos went viral in 2015. He has received numerous awards, including a People’s Choice award for “Beauty Influencer” and the “Breakthrough Social Star” award at the 2021 MTV Movie and TV Awards.
“Moana 2” is currently showing in nationwide cinemas.
