Season 6 of reality talent show “Pilipinas Got Talent” already ended its run last Saturday, April 28, but action star Robin Padilla is still not finished with trying to explain to people why “Pilipinas Got Talent” Grand Winner, single mom Kristel de Catalina, is required to have a man in her life.

Who could forget the small-but-terrible single mother who left the audience and the judges of “Pilipinas Got Talent” wonderstruck with her acrobatic flair on a spiral pole? It should not be a surprise if fans will still be talking about Catalina in the next couple of weeks, as the numbers do not lie: she averaged 99 percent of the votes from viewers and judges nationwide.

Padilla, meanwhile, thought it would be apt if he took to his own Instagram account to congratulate Catalina on her win. It can be remembered that on the grand finals night, he praised Catalina’s jaw-dropping performance, but also emphasized the presence of the male assistant who helped her.

Last night, Padilla took to his Instagram page and shared a picture of him carrying Catalina after her win, who was still in her performance clothes. It can be noted that in the photo, Padilla was wearing a campaign shirt for Special Assistant to the President (SAP) Bong Go’s senatorial bid.

(I thank the one and only God for this blessing of being a part of the Revolution now, and being a part of the historic win of single mom Kristel.)

(Savor the sweetness of your triumph because this is a reward to you from the heavens, a gift to you from Filipinos from all corners of the world. You are a symbol for women at this hour! You embody their power.)

“… We are all hypnotized by your deep love to your child and the single mom journey with life that was very clear with your choreography…. Saludo ako sa iyo (I salute you) Tunay na You did it All by yourself.”

His praise for her ostensibly looked as if he were finally acknowledging her success as wholly hers, but as his post went on, it seemed he was not done and had more to say.

Pero muli kong sasabihin,” Padilla started on another note.

(But I will repeat, as your “Kapamilya” and a part of PGT 6, you still need a man and that doesn’t mean a boyfriend or whatever, but a father image for your son.)

Despite writing that he would never question any mother’s capability to be successful on her own, Padilla clarified that having a man is something that reality asks for. As per Padilla, Catalina’s son needs to have someone in his life who exemplifies what it means to be a man.

“I will never question any mother’s capability to survive and be victorious, but reality is asking for it,” asserted Padilla. (This can be given by any man in the family, as long as [your son] must have a figure and an example of being a man.)
