Diego Loyzaga says Sofia Andres has a boyfriend

When Diego Loyzaga posted a picture with a girl, it seems he anticipated a barrage of comments on who he was to her, considering that he has been linked to actress Sofia Andres.

The “Pusong Ligaw” actor shared a picture of him and friend Chelsea Ronquillo. “Since ’11,” was his caption, perhaps referring to their years of friendship.
It appears Loyzaga was prepared when he faced comments on the subject—and stirred some controversy with a revelation about his onscreen partner.
One @ac_austria said, “All this time kala ko bet na si (I thought you liked) Sofia Andres. Hahaha good for you Diego.”

He simply replied, “Sofia has a boyfriend. Chelsea is my friend.”
“I see. Hahaha so I guess single ka pa din (you’re still single)?” the netizen wondered.
“Yup!” Loyzaga said.

Although a number of followers said yes to the tag, a @_mariakelsey raised some concern.
“Does this mean you’re still hurting because Sofia has a new boyfriend? I wish you guys happiness but I understand if it’s not going to be you and her anymore but don’t drag her boyfriend along, I’m not sure but I think he’s not in showbiz.”

Loyzaga clarified, “Nope. I’m happy for her. And no. We’re not a loveteam.”

When some insisted that the boyfriend Loyzaga was referring to was himself, he explained to a netizen, “Sofia and I are not together. Please don’t think we are. Baka may magalit (Someone might get mad).”
There were still persistent fans who were curious about other love teams, like him and Maris Racal.

“She. Is. My. Friend,” said Loyzaga.
When what appeared to be an anonymous account belittled Loyzaga’s friend compared with Andres, the actor was quick to lash back.
“Anong laban ni girl kay Sofia (What does she have that Sofia doesn’t)? Boobs? Ass? Still, Sofia,” @wildandfreeeeeee87 said.

Loyzaga minced no words in his response: “You’re literally the kind of person the world doesn’t need. Comparing and judging a woman by her body type. Seriously buddy, you’re a disgrace to humanity. Take your fake account, your disrespectful comments and phone and flush it (sic) down a toilet.”
Last February, Loyzaga declared on “Magandang Buhay” that he was “single pero (but) happy.” He explained that he had been single “for the longest time” and that Andres was his partner at work.
As for the status of their relationship, it seems Andres has wiped her Instagram account of photos with Loyzaga. Could she be making room for someone new? /ra
