Mark Salling had alcohol in his blood when he died by suicide, according to his autopsy obtained by Us Weekly.
The “Glee” actor had a blood alcohol level of 0.095 percent; in the United States, the legal limit for driving is 0.08 percent. The toxicology revealed he did not test positive for drugs.
He had previous suicide attempts–one was before he made a plea bargain in October 2017, reports TMZ. At that time, he allegedly yelled to his roommate for help and had to be rescued by paramedics.
Salling died of asphyxia by hanging on Jan. 30, his death ruled a suicide by the Los Angeles Coroner. The 35-year-old actor was going to be sentenced over a month later for possession of child pornography.
He was arrested in December 2015 after a search of his Los Angeles home showed that he had over 25,000 photos and 600 videos of child pornography. He pleaded guilty to the charge in December 2017 and would have served four to seven years in prison.
