Binibining Pilipinas 2018 candidate Sandra Lemonon has made up her mind to try for the crown again come 2019.
Lemonon was considered a strong contender for the crown, but failed to place in the pageant held at the Araneta Coliseum on Sunday, March 18.
“Lemonades, I am coming back,” Lemonon posted on her Twitter page yesterday, March 19.
Fans of Lemonon, dubbed Lemonades, expressed their support on her plan to join Binibining Pilipinas again next year. Some also expressed their admiration for her honesty, saying she deserved to have a crown.
One commenter, kihonsong (@kihon5237) said they [her fans] would drag her to the Araneta Coliseum should she ever change her mind.
Lemonon gained attention due to her response at the Q&A portion. She was asked by judge Edgar Saavedra of her opinion regarding the ongoing “Build, Build, Build” infrastructure program of the government.
The top 15 finalist surprised the audience when she said, “Actually you know what, I studied so much for this Q&A, but sadly that’s something that I don’t know really much about. But at least I’m here trying to answer a good question. Thank you.”
Host Pia Wurtzback quipped, “Well, I love her honesty. It’s better than lying.”

Netizens on Twitter later picked up Lemonon’s answer and created memes out of it.
Meanwhile, others echoed Wurtzbach, praising Lemonon for giving an honest answer. Even actor KC Montero joined in:
In the end, Montero encouraged those who did not make it to not give up and keep joining, again and again.
It’s encouragement that stretches out to Lemonon, who might already know about “Build, Build, Build” by 2019. Alfred Bayle/JB
