In a press conference in the nearing finale of the Kapamilya show “Wildflower,” Melendez said that the speculations must be put to rest since Yllana and his girlfriend, Joy Reyes, are expecting a baby.

She added that Yllana’s relationship with Reyes was approved by her. “… and now na he’s having a baby, a baby is always a blessing, why would I hinder that happiness?” Melendez said.

“It’s my respect dun sa upcoming baby, lalo na maselan yung pagbubuntis ni Joy (It’s my respect for the upcoming baby, especially that Joy is having a difficult pregnancy),” the actress said. Ayoko nang mag-add ng tension dun (I don’t want to add any tension) , let’s give it to them.”

The actress also gave props to her ex-husband for being a good father to their son. “Ang maganda is aware siya na mayroon siyang pagkukulang dati, pero ginagawan niya ng paraan (What’s good is that he knows he had shortcomings, so he always makes up for them),” she said, commending Yllana.

“So, sana mas maging consistent siya dun sa paggagawa ng paraan na yun, lalo na ngayon na magkaka-baby na sila (So, I hope he will be more consistent on making up for his shortcomings, especially now that they’re having a baby),” the “Wildflower” actress added.
