Pia Wurtzbach posts throwback selfie as Miss Universe; Miss USA 2015 Olivia Jordan says she’s ‘lucky’ to win crown
Her reign may be over, but Pia Wurtzbach still feels like it was only yesterday when she had her winning moment.
On Instagram, the former Miss Universe titleholder posted a throwback selfie, her first when she was crowned the winner of the pageant at the Axis Theater in Planet Hollywood in Las Vegas, Nevada, back in December 2015.
Wearing the coveted crown in her custom-made Albert Andrada gown, she wrote that it was a “dream come true” for her to be crowned the most beautiful in the universe.
“The 1st selfie. 2 years ago today 💙 #DreamComeTrue,” Wurtzbach wrote in her post.
In a follow-up post, Wurtzbach, this time wearing a bathrobe while still wearing the crown, said to “never give up on your dreams.”
Like her, netizens also felt the nostalgia. Some gushed that she would always remain a queen.

But one netizen, @nicholasnivek, asked Jordan, “What is your issue with Ariadna?” referring to Miss Colombia Ariadna Gutierrez who was mistakenly crowned when host Steve Harvey read the wrong name of the winner.
In her “no hate” reply, Jordan asked what issue she brought up, and complimented Wurtzbach for being the “most incredible roommate.” She said she was only celebrating her luck by sharing her part of her Miss USA journey with her.
Since her reign ended, Wurtzbach has remained active in her advocacy to raise HIV/Aids awareness, and is set to star in her first film, “Gandarrapido: The Adventure Squad,” alongside Vice Ganda and Daniel Padilla. The film is an entry to the 2017 Metro Manila Film Festival. /ra
