DJ Tiësto engaged to American model girlfriend

Dutch DJ Tiësto announced on social media that he and his girlfriend Annika Backes are engaged.

“I am gonna spend the rest of my life with the love of my life,” he said.

“I am the luckiest girl in the world to get to spend the rest of my life with the best man ever. I love you more than you will ever know!” she wrote in her own post.

Backes is an American model who has been dating the DJ for about two years.

According to Dutch TV news service RTL Nieuws, Tiësto is 27 years her senior.

In 2016, Tiësto said he still felt too young to have kids, reports RTL Nieuws.

The DJ’s previous engagement was to Stacey Blokzijl in 2007. The wedding was cancelled 10 months later, with Tiësto citing a busy work schedule. JB
