‘GoT’ star Kit Harington on why he refuses fan photos: ‘You start feeling like a mannequin’
HBO’s critically acclaimed “Game of Thrones” might just be the most popular show in the world right now and Kit Harington (who plays Jon Snow) is one of its biggest stars.
However, the massive fame and global recognition comes with a price, as the the 30-year-old English actor recently expressed the lack of privacy that comes with it.
In a candid interview with The Guardian, Harington revealed why he’s not fond of being mobbed by fans who request selfies with him.
“I don’t particularly enjoy that. I don’t know. Do I? I’m glad I’ve experienced it, but… It’s a bit incessant,” he said.
Being one of the show’s most prominent characters, Harington understands most fans adoration for him, but he did admit that all the attention sometimes takes its toll.

He also recalled a recent event in Europe, where he and soon-to-be wife Rose Leslie had a hard time going through the city.
“Like, being in Spain and there being a crowd of 500, maybe 600 fans camped outside the hotel every day, and you have to get through them. It feels like being Bieber or something,” he said.
“You just have to [turn them down], otherwise you start feeling like a mannequin.”
Meanwhile, Harington will have his hands full anew, as the final season of “Game of Thrones” has started the early phase of its filming stage. Khristian Ibarrola /ra
