Xander Ford’s camp has given their side over allegations that the performer has been showing “attitude” while working with a TV network.
Talent manager Ogie Diaz shared on Facebook observations from ABS-CBN talents and staff that Ford’s behavior has appeared entitled. He also advised him to “practice humility.”
Star Image Artist Management claims that the situations cited by Diaz were misunderstood.
Their statement says that Ford was joking when he told a security guard to let him in. “Being a typical teenager and with his jolly character known from his video contents (sic), he always make (sic) fun about (sic) himself… This has been exaggerated to being boastful.”
As for demanding that his entourage be allowed to enter the station, the management explains that he did not want his managers and father to be left behind.
“He politely told the marshall that he will (sic) wait for the Talent Coordinator to fetch him together with his companions which is a standard procedure.”
Of the allegations that he was hiding from fans, it was shared that “his face is not yet 100% healed.” The management supposedly avoids having photos taken of Ford without make-up, and that the performer was covering his face because he felt “conscious” about how he looked.
It was also detailed that Ford had come from Cavite and still went to the tapings despite being exhausted. “Xander is not perfect. He is just a regular guy who is really working hard to please everyone especially those who doesn’t want him to be successful,” the statement concludes.
On the Oct. 9 episode of “Rated K”, Ford, previously Marlou Arizala, shared about his underprivileged background and discussed that he wants to pursue a showbiz career so that he could provide for his family.
He recently revealed his new face after multiple cosmetic procedures, including a nose job and chin augmentation. JB
