Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach was certainly one of the most sought-after personalities at the recently concluded Star Magic Ball. Just as fans waited for her, the public also longed to see if she will be coming in with her boyfriend, car racer Marlon Stockinger.

But the former beauty queen walked the red carpet solo and explained why Stockinger was not there.

“He’s also busy with his racing thing right. He has his own thing and I also have mine. But we’re okay,” Wurtzbach said during a brief interview at the Ball.

Wearing her sultry black off-shoulder gown, she was just as statuesque as she’s ever been. And while beauty queens normally sport long hair, Wurtzbach opted for shorter locks which she carried just as gorgeously.

She said, “I just want a different look for the ball, I was thinking I’ll try to veer away from the typical pageant look, I just wanted something sexier and edgier and my stylist and my designer agreed and we came up with this.”

She also clarified that her decision to cut her long hair did not entail any conflict with her endorsements.

On joining Miss Universe this year

Being hailed a Miss Universe does not end a winner’s participation in the pageant once the reign ends. This is very true in the case of the third Filipina Miss Universe. However, her pending showbiz projects has created some conflicts in her schedule.

They’re inviting me to attend the next Miss Universe competition and I’m crossing my fingers that I really make it, but right now my priority is finishing the movie so if it’s finished by then, I’m definitely gonna go,” she said.

She also shared that this year’s Miss Universe Philippines bet, Rachel Peters, already asked her for some advice on the competition.

“She asked me, she messaged me and I shared some tips with her,” Wurtzbach said. JB
