Piolo Pascual, Toni Gonzaga gets reunited in new movie ‘Last Night’
The blockbuster tandem of Piolo Pascual and Toni Gonzaga is back once more through their latest movie, “Last Night”.
Their team-up has broken records with their 2014 hit “Starting Over Again”. Now, they are reigniting their signature brand of on-screen romance as they are directed for the first time by Joyce Bernal.
With the massive success of “Starting Over Again”, it is surely a tough act to follow, but Pascual and Gonzaga assured the viewers that the story of “Last Night” is way different from their first project. They promised it to be engaging and something that will surely get fans hooked.
“Last Night” is centered on its two main characters Mark (Pascual) and Carmina (Gonzaga). Mark is a man who loses everything and meets Carmina, who encounters a similar fate and attempts to commit suicide. Both Mark and Carmina lose hope as they go through their ordeals. But unexpectedly, they begin a deal that leads to friendship and eventually blooms into love.
What’s more interesting about the film is that it was written by actress Bela Padilla, and produced by Neil Arce and actor Boy 2 Quizon. Arce happens to be Padilla’s former boyfriend.
