The “king of monsters” was finally revealed in a new trailer, with the big guy looking as menacing as ever.
The full trailer finally gives a better look at Godzilla as the creature appears in “Godzilla: Planet of Monsters”.
In the trailer, humankind’s fiery departure from their ravaged home planet was glimpsed through a flashback by main character Haruo Sakaki, voiced by Mamoru Miyano. Shuttles fly off to space during “the last summer of the 20th Century,” while Godzilla rampages through what appears to be a spaceport.
Centuries later, mankind returns in force to find their home completely changed. The air is unbreathable while the land is filled with monsters. There was only one thing unchanged: the king of monsters still patiently waiting for them to come back.
The movie’s official website revealed a new promotional image, which features Godzilla standing behind the human characters of the movie.

“Godzilla: Planet of Monsters” (Kaiju Wakusei) will premiere in Japanese theaters on November 17. Netflix will stream it globally before the year ends. JB
