Following the recent exposure of his nude photo online, actor Ahron Villena apologized for making the accidental post on Instagram late Friday.

In a recent interview with entertainment columnist Ogie Diaz on DZMM Teleradyo together with ABS-CBN’s MJ Felipe, the actor detailed how his nude photo came about and how it became viral.

The actor related that it all started when he came home tired from his taping of “La Luna Sangre” that day. Living alone, he said it has always been his routine to completely undress himself when he gets home from work.

He went into his room and laid on his bed without anything on, then thought of posting a photo of himself.

He shared that he normally saves his photos first before he uploads, “dinedelay ko ba” (I delay posting photos). However, it was when he decided to use Instagram’s boomerang feature that the unexpected happened.

Minsan trip mo mag-bommerang, trip mong ganyan, kinlick ko ‘yung Stories, boomerang, di’ba may boomerang doon? ‘Yung phone malapit sa mukha ko, nilayo ko siya hindi ko napansin na ‘yung private part ay nahagip pala,” he said.

(Sometimes you just want to do boomerang, just because. I clicked on Instagram Stories. It has the boomerang feature, right? My phone was near my face, so I held it farther. [When I clicked the boomerang feature on,] I didn’t notice that my private part was captured.)

Hindi ko alam talaga, pag gan’un ise-save ko muna talaga, nagkataon ang napindot ko pala, di’ba MJ [Felipe] before ‘yung save nasa lower left, ngayon wala na, Your Story na ‘yung nakalagay doon. Nagmamadali ako, boomerang, boomerang, pinindot ko ngayon ‘yung save button, na ‘yun pala Your Story na,” he explained.

(I really didn’t know. Normally I would really save [my photos] first. It just so happened that I accidentally published it, because if you would remember, MJ, the ‘save’ button used to be at the lower left side. Now, it’s been replaced by [the button for] Your Story. I was in a hurry when I tried the boomerang, so I just clicked it, thinking I was still saving it. It turns out that I actually published it as Your Story.)

Somehow sensing that there might be something wrong, he checked on his phone and noticed that his photo was not in the gallery. This was when he realized that he accidentally posted it. He said he then immediately deleted it. However, there were already five followers who were able to view the post even before he deleted it.

And just when he was feeling relieved that he has deleted the post, people started messaging him and sending him screen shots of his Instagram Story entry.

He also took to Twitter last July 29 to explain what happened and apologized for it.

Screen grab of Ahron Villena’s Twitter post

The screen grab image of Villena now circulating the web indeed shows the face of the actor and his naked body; at the lower portion of the frame, the upper part of the actor’s sex organ is exposed.

Ahron Villena recently hit the headlines following his denial of comedienne Cacai Bautista’s implication of a supposed past romance with him. JB
