WATCH: ‘BFF ng Bayan’ Barbs returns in ‘Born Beautiful’ series, sequel to ‘Die Beautiful’
Award-winning film “Die Beautiful” was a crowd favorite at the 2016 Metro Manila Film Festival for a good reason.
The movie followed the tragedies and joys in the life of transgender beauty queen Trisha (Paolo Ballesteros). Through it all was her loyal BFF, Barbs, who fulfilled her dying wish of being fabulously made up into her favorite divas, from Beyoncé to Lady Gaga, while in her coffin.
Fans clamoring for a sequel are in for something that seems even better than another movie: a TV series called “Born Beautiful” featuring Barbs back in action.

Based on a previous Inquirer interview, screenwriter Jun Robles Lana stated that the sequel will follow Barbs after Trisha’s death.
The series is produced by The IdeaFirst Company and will be available through satellite TV provider Cignal. JB
