Following their startling breakup last October, Denise Laurel and Sol Mercado are giving love a second chance.
The 29-year-old actress-host revealed that she and the PBA player were patching things up, hoping that they would finally walk the aisle soon.
“We’re working things out and it is great,” she told Philippine Entertainment Portal. “It’s just nice to have my son be around to both of us. Even we’re not officially together, we love each other, my son loves him, he loves my son, I love them both.”
Mercado and Laurel were engaged in 2013. The lovebirds scrapped their wedding plans last year, which led to their inevitable breakup months after. “We’re working things through, so let’s see. You know, wherever God takes us,” she said.
Asked if they were talking about marriage, Laurel simply explained, “They were correct to think that before, pakasal na kami, kasi (we would get married because) were engaged, and that’s what engaged people do. But sometimes it takes longer to get there than other people.”
