Internationally revered novelist J.K. Rowling created a vast fantasy world for the Harry Potter franchise.
That rich history is now being used as the subject of the 2016 prequel “Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them” and its upcoming sequels.
Now, it looks like a group of hardcore “Potterheads” are using Rowling’s works to come up with an origin story of their own—this time, about one of the franchise’s most distinguished characters.
According to the Verge, a non-profit, high production film based on the villainous Lord Voldemort (Tom Riddle) is currently in the works.
Dubbed as “Voldemort: Origins of the Heir”, a brief teaser of it has been released by the producer, Tryangle Films, and has already caused a stir on social media.

What happened in those years, and what really went down at Hogwarts when he came back?” read a plot synopsis in the film’s official website. “There are some clues in the books which have not been transposed at all in the movies, but a lot goes unspoken. This is the story we want to tell: the rise of the Dark Lord before Harry Potter and his first demise.”

The much-anticipated film first came to light last year, but was reportedly put on hold after receiving a takedown notice from Warner Bros.
The filmmakers, meanwhile, has since reached a settlement with the production giant, the report said.
