Just like any “Hannah Montana” addict out there, Miley Cyrus was stoked with nostalgia upon rewatching the performance that made her dreams a reality.

While promoting her new single “Malibu” on Friday (Thursday in the US), the pop star reminisced about her “Hannah Montana” days during her return to Radio Disney, the same venue where she auditioned for the titular role over 12 years ago.

“The first time I was ever in this building, which I drove to from Nashville with my mom, I had to sign in at the desk right there and tell them, ‘I’m here for an audition,'” Cyrus recalled.

But what made Cyrus vividly remember her first Disney tryout was her throwback audition footage of her singing her composition titled “We’re Going to the Beach,” shown by the Radio Disney crew.

“You all are going to freak out…That is so funny. That is crazy. That is a jewel. That is a gem,” Cyrus said. Back then, she wore a top with the sentence “I Should Have My Own TV Show.”

The hilarious part of the audition tape was when Cyrus confidently answered, “No, but it’s gonna happen,” when asked if she was tied to a music label.

“Malibu,” her comeback single after two years, was named after the California beach wherein she currently resides with her longtime boyfriend, Liam Hemsworth.

Cyrus starred in the phenomenal Disney series “Hannah Montana” and later became a seductive star with the songs “Party in the U.S.A.,” “Wrecking Ball” and “The Climb.”  Gianna Francesca Catolico /ra
