Despite withdrawing from her supposed “Darna” comeback, Angel Locsin is set to evoke nostalgia in her fans with her forthcoming reunion film with Richard Gutierrez.
Star Cinema announced Tuesday that Locsin and her former on-screen lover will be starring in a movie, whose title is yet to be revealed. The love team worked in films such as “The Promise,” “Mano Po 6: Gua Ai Di,” “Let the Love Begin” and “Mulawin: The Movie.” Joining the duo in the project is actress Angelica Panganiban.
The movie will be directed by Nuel Naval, who was known for reeling off Nadine Lustre and James Reid’s blockbuster “This Time” and infidelity-themed flicks “A Secret Affair” and “The Love Affair.”
Aside from top billing films in the mid-2000s, Locsin and Gutierrez teamed up in the GMA series “Click” and “Mulawin,” where they electrified audiences as Aguiluz and Alwina.
