Umaru discovers the importance of the box with flashy lights in the house after spilling cola all over it.
Incidentally, it’s also known as the router, and is possibly the most important objected needed by any shut-in as it connects him or her to the outside world.
Emily Neves will be providing the English voice for the adorably lazy Umaru in the dubbed version of “Himouto! Umaru-chan”. She has also done voice work for “Kanade Tachibana” (Angel Beats!), “Kotomi Ichinose” (Clannad), “Ayase Shinomiya” (Guilty Crown), and “Angelise Ikaruga Misurugi” (Cross Ange) to name a few.
The second season of TV anime “Himouto! Umaru-chan” will begin airing in Japan this fall.
“Himouto! Umaru-chan” was inspired by a manga of the same title. Its story revolves around Taihei Doma and his little sister Umaru. On the outside, Umaru is the very image of perfection – beautiful, smart and athletic. However, at home, she is far from what can be considered an ideal girl. JB
