The theme song to Voltes V is just as influential as the iconic anime itself. So when Mitsuko Horie came to visit Ozine Fest 2017, a local anime convention to sing “Voltes V no Uta”, Filipinos couldn’t help but sing along.
Horie was even joined on stage by cosplayers dressed up as the Voltes team and Prince Zardos, to the delight of the audience.
Before exiting the stage, she took the time to pose for photos together with the Voltes Team.
Voltes V is a 1970s anime that influenced a generation in the Philippines. It stopped airing in the country during Martial Law. The rest of the episodes were later aired, including the previously unaired finale, in 1999 on GMA. JB
