WATCH: Thor bids goodbye to his Mjolnir in first ‘Ragnarok’ trailer
The first look at the third Thor standalone film, “Thor: Ragnarok”, is finally here, and as expected, it’s nothing short of remarkable.
The highly anticipated teaser starts with the usually formidable titular character (Chris Hemsworth) looking uncharacteristically helpless, as he’s dangling in mid-air, bound to chains.
Viewers are then treated to a revelation, the cause behind the mayhem—the formidable Hela (Cate Blanchett) is introduced as the new threat to the entire Asgardian civilization.
Her destructive capabilities were at full display, as she was able to fully break Thor’s enchanted super weapon Mjolnir with her bare hands.
As all-out chaos ensued, the trailer also confirmed the inclusion of fan favorite Loki (Tom Hiddleston), as well as a helmet-less Heimdall (Idris Elba).
