Coldplay rides jeepney to MOA grounds ahead of concert
From “para-para-paradise,” to “para, mama.”
British band Coldplay took a jeepney ride to the Mall of Asia (MOA) open grounds for the Manila leg of their “A Head Full of Dreams” tour on Tuesday.
Netizens and concertgoers in the area took to social media to share their excitement when they saw frontman Chris Martin and other band members riding the jeep, a popular means of transportation in the Philippines. ABS-CBN entertainment reporter MJ Felipe also posted a short video clip on Twitter.
“Just saw Chris Martin riding a jeepney. I am shaking,” wrote one Karla Achacoso on Twitter.
“JUST SAW CHRIS MARTIN IN A JEEPNEY OMG I CAN DIE NOW OMGGGG,” tweeted Jamie del Rosario.
“CLOSE ENCOUNTER WITH CHRIS MARTIN AND JONNY BUCKLAND HERE AT MOA CONCERT GROUNDS. THEY [WERE] RIDING A JEEP!!” said Neil Enore.

Coldplay’s Manila concert at the MOA concert grounds has sold about 35,000 tickets.
Doors will open as early as 5 p.m. Australian musician Jess Kent will have a 30-minute front act before Coldplay hits the stage at 9 p.m. YG/IDL
