The theme song for the “tale as old as time” was composed by Alan Menken and the late Howard Ashman. It was first sung by actress Angela Lansbury, who voiced the original “Mrs. Potts” in the 1991 animated flick. Meanwhile, Celine Dion and Peabo Bryson teamed up for the original film’s theme song.

Grande bloomed like a dancing rose with her red ball gown while Legend, who plays the grand piano in the clip, was donned in a navy coat akin to what the Beast wore. Inside the baroque castle, Belle (Watson) and Beast (Stevens) slowly waltzed through the music’s nostalgic tempo.

Variety reported that Emma Thompson, who voices the anthropomorphic teapot in the new film, will chant the “Beauty and the Beast” song in the film as well. Besides Grande and Legend, Dion and classical singer Josh Groban will sing several tracks in the film.

“Beauty and the Beast” will premiere in Philippine theaters on March 17.  Gianna Francesca Catolico /ra
