KRISTOFER King in “Balitok”

Dexter Macaraeg’s short film “Balitok” will be featured in three film festivals abroad. “Balitok,” which won bronze best screenplay at the NYC Indie Film Awards, will compete for top prizes in the Barcelona Planet Film Festival in Spain and the iPhone Film Festival and the Los Angeles CineFest in the United States. The film topbills Kristofer King, who won gold best actor at the NYC Indie Film Awards. The film recounts the struggles of indigenous people against illegal mining in Licuan-Baay, Abra. Bayani San Diego Jr.
